Imam Fakhr al-Din Raazi (Alayhir Rahmah) recorded in his Tafsir al-Kabir:

Hadrat Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (Radi Allahu Anhu) expressed his will that my funeral (janazah) should be taken to the enlightened tomb of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) and then it should be said,

السلام عليك يا رسول الله هذا أبو بكر بالباب
“Peace be upon you O Messenger of Allah! Abu Bakr is present at your door.”

The companions (Allah is well pleased with them All) followed his will. The doors of the august shrine opened by themselves and a voice came from the exalted shrine saying,

ادخلوا الحبيب إلى الحبيب فإن الحبيب إلى الحبيب مشتاق
“Bring the beloved to his beloved, Verily! the beloved is longing for his beloved.”
